Bhaskar Gupta was born in Kolkata, India, in 1960. He received the B.E.Tel.E.,M.E.Tel.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in 1982, 1984 and 1996 respectively. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Department, Jadavpur University, where he has been teaching since 1985.He has supervised 20 doctoral dissertations and is presently guiding 17 more. He has published more than 300 research articles in refereed journals and conferences and coauthored three books on advanced research topics. His present area of interest is planar antennas, wearable antennas,dielectric resonator antennas, biological effects of RF radiation on plants, RF MEMS and application of soft computing techniques in microwave engineering and antennas. Dr. Gupta is a Fellow of IETE, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and a Life Member of SEMCE(I). He was the Chairman of AP-MTT Joint Chapter, IEEE Calcutta Section; Chairman, Students’ Activities and Vice-Chair, IEEE Calcutta Section. Presently, he is Chair, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Division, WB State Centre of Institution of Engineers (India). He serves as Referee in different internationally acclaimed journals and as Guest Editor to the Asian Journal of Physics. Further, he successfully completed 11 research projects sponsored by various agencies and is currently working on seven more, including national and international collaborative projects. He was the Chairman, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board from 2011 to 2015. He served DFCCIL and Railtel Corporation, both Government of India PSUs, as Independent Director for more than three years in each case. He has been named in the 2009 edition of Marquis’ Who’s Who in the World.

Barna Cornel was born on August 18, 1958 in Arad city, Romania. He received his Bachelor of Science in field of Computer Science from Universitatea Politehnica Timisoara in 1983. He completed his study to Doctor in Science at the same University. In 2000 he join the Department of Informatics of Aurel Vlaicu University from Arad, where he is professor.His research interests lie in area of artificial intelligence, fuzzy logic and information granularity.

Valentina E. Balas is currently Full Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, Romania. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Electronics and Telecommunications from Polytechnic University of Timisoara. Dr. Balas is author of more than 350 research papers. Her research interests are in Intelligent Systems, Fuzzy Control, Soft Computing. She is the Editor-in Chief to IJAIP and to IJCSysE, and is evaluator expert for national, international projects. Dr. Balas is the director of Intelligent Systems Research Centre in Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad and Director of the Department of International Relations. She served as General Chair of SOFA conferences in nine editions organized in the interval 2005-2020 and held in Romania and Hungary. Dr. Balas participated in many international conferences as Organizer, Honorary Chair, Session Chair, member in Steering, Advisory or International Program Committees and Keynote Speaker. She is a member of EUSFLAT, member of SIAM and a Senior Member IEEE, member in TC Fuzzy Systems (IEEE CIS), chair of the Task Force 14 in TC Emergent Technologies (IEEE CIS), member in TC Soft Computing (IEEE SMCS). Dr. Balas was past Vice-president ( Awards) of IFSA -(2013-2015), is a Joint Secretary of the Governing Council of Forum for Interdisciplinary Mathematics, and recipient of the "Tudor Tanasescu" Prize from the Romanian Academy (2019).

Swagatam Das earned his B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, M.E. with a specialization in Control Engineering, and Ph.D.(Engineering) degrees from Jadavpur University, India, in the years 2003, 2005, and 2009, respectively. Currently a Professor at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, India, he previously served as the Head of the Electronics and Communication Sciences Unit at ISI Kolkata from 2021 to 2023. He also held the position of Professor and Deputy Director at the Institute for Advancing Intelligence (IAI), TCG CREST, Kolkata, Indiai during April 01, 2023 to March 31, 2024. His research interests encompass deep learning and non-convex optimization, and he published over 400 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. Dr. Das is the founding Co-Editor-in-Chief of Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, an international journal by Elsevier. He has served or is currently serving as an Associate Editor for several prominent journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, Pattern Recognition (Elsevier), Neurocomputing (Elsevier), Information Sciences (Elsevier), IEEE Trans. on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, among others. He is a member of the editorial board of Information Fusion (Elsevier), Progress in Artificial Intelligence (Springer), Applied Soft Computing (Elsevier), Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (Elsevier), and so on. Dr. Das has received over 32,000 Google Scholar citations and an H-index of 85 till date. He has actively participated in the program committees and organizing committees of renowned international conferences such as NeurIPS, AAAI, AISTATS, ACM Multimedia, BMVC, IEEE CEC, GECCO, and more. He currently serves as an ACM Distinguished Speaker. He is the recipient of the 2012 Young Engineer Award from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) and the 2015 Thomson Reuters Research Excellence India Citation Award for being the highest-cited researcher in Engineering and Computer Science in India between 2010 and 2014.

RAJAT KUMAR PAL (Member, IEEE) received his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, under the University of Calcutta, India, the M.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Calcutta, India, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, in 1996. Since 1994, he has been working as a faculty with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Calcutta. He took a leave of absence to join as professor with the Department of Information Technology, Assam University, India, from 2010 to 2012. Presently, he is working as a professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Calcutta, India. His major research interests include VLSI design, Graph theory and its applications, Perfect graphs, Logic synthesis, Design and analysis of algorithms, Computational geometry, and Parallel computation and algorithms. He has published more than 300 research articles and has authored and co-authored two books. He also holds several international patents.

Prof. Das has worked for almost four years in TCS as an assistant system analyst and has more than 20 years of teaching experience. Prof. Das completed B. Sc. Honours in Mathematics from Belur Rama Krishna Mission Vidyamandira under Calcutta University in 1993 and B. Tech and M. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Calcutta University. His areas of interest for both teaching and research are Discrete Structures, Data Structures and Algorithms, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Data Mining, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Text Mining, and Audio-Video data analysis.
